About the Similarity between Polymaleic Acid and Water Soluble Humic Fractions
نویسنده
چکیده
The content o f aromatic units in polym aleic acid (PMA) prepared by standard procedures is determined by C -13N M R and three different oxydation procedures. It is shown that all destructive oxydation procedures lead to an aromatic carbon content that is significantly higher than the aromaticity content expected from the method o f preparation and derived from the C-13 NM R spectra. It is concluded, that benzenecarboxylic acids are formed in the process o f oxydation o f PMA. The yield increases with the oxydative strength o f the method applied.

Hygroscopic properties of water-soluble matter and humic-like organics in atmospheric fine aerosol
Ambient continental-rural fine aerosol (K-puszta, Hungary, PM1.5) was sampled on quartz fibre filters in winter and summer 2001. Water-soluble matter (WSM) was extracted in MilliQ-water, and, in a second step, solid phase extraction was used to isolate the less hydrophilic fraction (ISOM) of the water-soluble organic matter (WSOM) from remaining inorganic salts and “most” hydrophilic organic ma...

In order to investigate the effect of different levels of water deficit and foliar application of humic acid on the physiological characteristics of lima bean, a field experiment was arranged as split-split plot based on randomized complete block design with three replications in the research station of Shahrekord University in 2014. The main plot included four levels of drought stress (50, 70,...
متن کاملEvolution of Carbon Compounds during Municipal Solid Waste Composting: Suitability of Chemical and Biochemical Parameters in Defining the Stability and Maturity of the End Product
In this review we discuss the transformation of organic matter during municipal solid waste (MSW) composting and the suitability of chemical and biochemical parameters in defining the stability and maturity of the end product. The dynamics of chemical and biochemical parameters, such as several hydrolase activities and water-soluble fractions (i.e. water soluble carbon, water soluble nitrogen, ...
متن کاملAtmospheric HULIS: How humic-like are they? A comprehensive and critical review
A class of organic molecules extracted from atmospheric aerosol particles and isolated from fog and cloud water has been termed HUmic-LIke Substances (HULIS) due to a certain resemblance to terrestrial and aquatic humic and fulvic acids. In light of the interest that this class of atmospheric compounds currently attracts, we comprehensively review HULIS properties, as well as laboratory and fie...
